Resources
What if I don’t meet VIM’s eligibility requirements?
There are resources available to you to make healthcare more affordable. Here are a few places to start:
Covered California
Covered California is the Affordable Care Act entity in California. They can help you apply and see what healthcare programs you would be eligible for.
211 San Diego
Getting help can be as simple as dialing 211 to connect with a member of the San Diego 211 team, who will help you access healthcare, medical, and community resources through a free, 24/7 stigma-free phone service. You can also use 211sandiego.org
Grossmont Healthcare District
The Grossmont Healthcare District—in association with Grossmont Hospital—supports the health and well-being of East County citizens. It offers services such as its Dr. William C. Herrick Community Health Care Library at Briercrest Park. The library provides easy access to comprehensive and reliable medical information that is free, open to everyone.
